Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Web Developer Intern to join our team in a flexible hybrid or work-from-home setting. This internship offers you the chance to gain real-world experience in web development while working with experienced developers on a variety of exciting projects. You will assist in creating and maintaining websites, learning the ins and outs of the development process, and gaining exposure to the latest web technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages.
- Participate in developing responsive websites that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Help troubleshoot and debug websites and web applications to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Assist in integrating APIs and working with back-end technologies.
- Support the testing and optimization of websites to improve load time and performance.
- Collaborate remotely with the development team to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions via video conferences.
- Stay up to date with emerging web development technologies and trends.
- Provide creative input on web design and functionality, and help implement solutions.
- Maintain content on websites and ensure that applications meet accessibility and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is an asset.
- Understanding of back-end development technologies such as PHP, Node.js, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience collaborating in virtual teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a remote team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle remote work efficiently.
- Eagerness to learn and improve web development skills in a hands-on environment.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
- Knowledge of database systems like MySQL, MongoDB.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
